CASE STUDY: UD TRUCKS Leadership Summit
The Ask
UD Trucks planned to host its 2019 Leadership Summit at its headquarters in Ageo, Japan—welcoming 280 global leaders for a firsthand look at its Level 4 Autonomous Driving technology. With a media event scheduled the following week, the company needed a cost-effective, high-impact event space that could flexibly serve both occasions without duplicating resources.
The Solution
As event producer and creative director, I proposed converting the UD Experience Center into a multifunctional venue, designed to support both the Leadership Summit and the upcoming media showcase. Working closely with UD Trucks' corporate communications team and partner agencies, we brought the vision to life.
Key responsibilities included:
- Overall event planning and execution
- Stage and exhibit design tailored to the autonomous tech showcase
- Run-of-show programming, scriptwriting, and material development
- On-site coordination and budget management to maximize efficiency
The event was a resounding success—earning overwhelmingly positive feedback from participants and being hailed by UD Trucks’ leadership as the “best summit yet.”
